This proposal presents a mid-century modern, four-story house nestled in the Colorado Rockies, inspired by Mies van der Rohe’s Farnsworth House. The design focuses on transparency, simplicity, and a deep connection to nature, featuring a lightweight steel frame and expansive glass walls that offer sweeping views of the surrounding landscape, immersing residents in the environment.

In response to climate change, the house incorporates adaptive architecture to address flood risks. Elevated on adjustable supports, the structure can adapt to fluctuating flood levels, providing protection against environmental risks while remaining grounded in the landscape.

The goal is to create a resilient, sustainable home that not only offers a retreat into nature but also provides a forward-thinking solution to climate-related challenges, blending functionality, beauty, and adaptability in harmony with the changing world.
